Woods part 2

We searched and searched… eventually we did find a partridge. Before I could take a picture of it, it lost its head



And it was SO YUMMY!!!

We saw 2 hornet’s nests. The story is that the higher the nest, the worst the winter will be (or best, if you love snow like me). The first one we saw was maybe 2 feet off the ground. Maybe a mile from that was this one: about 10 feet off the ground

It was a fun week in the woods, but besides the partridge, we didn’t bring home any meat. Deer season starts in 2 weeks, so here’s hoping!

The awe of a fawn
