Goal for the future

I just saw this and it kinda pissed me off: http://bangordailynews.com/2011/07/14/uncategorized/republican-lawmaker-to-lead-sportsman%E2%80%99s-alliance-of-maine/

Maybe its the stereotype that Maine hunters and sportsman are Republicans who love their guns (maybe that’s just my stereotype) but to me, you don’t normally hear the words ‘democrat’ and ‘hunting’ in the same sentence. You definitely don’t hear the words ‘women’ ‘sportsman’s alliance’ and ‘hunting’ in the same sentence unless its as a special kind of hunting group just for women. Seriously – like I am any worst of a hunter because I am a girl.

So, as part of my retirement plan (groom snowmobile trails around central Maine!), I will figure out what I need to have done/on my resume in order to be qualified and then make a run. Can you imagine?? LIBERAL, FEMALE heads Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine. Priceless. Now, to figure out how to make it happen.

First though. I need sleep.

Season 9: episode 4

I have learned 2 things this hunting season: 1. I can now wear enough gear (awesome wool jacket) to mimic an owl. I bundle up so much that all that is exposed are my eyes and nose. I move my head and that's really it when I am in my tree seat. 2. I need to sleep the...
