Here a tree stand, there a tree stand, everywhere a tree stand!

While out on our snowmobile ride, we went down a stretch of powerline that was peppered with deer stands.  I envision something like the Dunkin Donuts/snowplow commercial where one deer steps out and there are at least three hunters ready to take aim. I am glad that we hunt on private land!

Here are the photos.  Which one would YOU want to hunt from?

  1. That is a lot if stands to come across. I would say if they are all in the general vicinity that it might be a little over hunted.
    I did see two I would use, one was a ladder stand stand and the other was a box that blended in better than the others.

You be the judge. For reference, the whole pile is about 5 inches across and Dad said that its about 4 days old. It's filled with apples and seeds.

They mock me

Ever since the season ended on June 6, we have had turkeys on every pull from the trail camera.  Every time! Clearly these guys are just mocking me.
